A brace of new trim levels are added to the MiTo Alfa range.

  • Two new models added to the Alfa Romeo MiTo range in 2015
  • Progression is the new entry-level specification, featuring air conditioning, alloy wheels and Uconnect™ touchscreen infotainment system as standard
  • EU6-compliant 78hp 1.4-litre petrol engine reintroduced with Start&Stop
  • New Junior model evokes spirit of the widely-revered 1966 original and is available either with a 0.9-litre TwinAir 105hp turbo petrol engine or a 1.3-litre JTDM-2 85hp turbo-diesel
  • Both models are on sale now, with prices starting at £12,760 OTR for the Alfa Romeo MiTo Progression 1.4 78hp and £14,870 OTR for the Alfa Romeo Junior TwinAir 0.9 105hp
Building on the comprehensive revisions made to the Alfa Romeo MiTo in 2014, when it received a revamped interior with a standard five-inch touchscreen infotainment system (plus TomTom satellite navigation on certain models), subtle exterior upgrades, more engine options and a higher level of standard equipment.

The 2015 range has been further enhanced with two new trim levels: the new MiTo “Progression” makes the dream of owning a new Alfa Romeo more attainable than ever thanks to its low on-the-road price of £12,670, while the sporty new “Junior” recalls the legacy of the 1966 Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior – an illustrious predecessor which made Alfa Romeo’s legendary style and driving pleasure available to a younger audience by offering big performance from a small-capacity engine.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Progression

It may be the new entry point into the Alfa Romeo range, but the MiTo Progression comes equipped with the high levels of features expected of a premium hatchback including air conditioning; a leather steering wheel and gear shifter and Alfa Romeo’s Uconnect™ five-inch colour touch screen infotainment system with Bluetooth®; voice recognition; USB / auxiliary inputs and steering wheel remote controls. In terms of safety.

The MiTo Progression is equipped with Vehicle Dynamic Control (stability, braking and traction control with hill-holder), TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring) and seven airbags, while its undeniable visual appeal is further enhanced with 15-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler and titanium grey headlight and rear light surrounds.

The Alfa Romeo MiTo Progression is offered with a choice of engines including the insurance-friendly 78hp 1.4-litre engine, which is reintroduced with Start&Stop and EU6 certification resulting in an official combined fuel economy figure of 50.4 MPG and CO2 emissions of 130g/km. The official 0-60 MPH for the 1.4 78hp engine is 13.0 seconds and its top speed is 103 MPH.

The award-winning 0.9-litre TwinAir 105hp turbo petrol engine (67.3 MPG / 99g/km) and 1.3-litre JTDM-2 85hp turbo-diesel (80.7 MPG / 90g/km) engines are also available with the Progression trim level, priced from £13,770 OTR and £14,315 OTR respectively.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Junior

The new Alfa Romeo MiTo Junior aims to broaden the appeal of the MiTo range still further by offering stylish but attention-grabbing looks within an affordable and insurable package. It builds on the high specification of the MiTo Progression but adds 17-inch alloy wheels with a brilliant white finish as well as matching door mirror caps and distinctive new “Junior” boot decal, also finished in white.

Other enhancements include front fog lights; a sports rear bumper and satin-effect door handles with matching headlamp and tail-lamp surrounds, while the interior benefits from special Junior upholstery, Junior floor mats and a flat-bottom sports steering wheel with contrasting stitching.

Under the bonnet, the Alfa Romeo MiTo Junior is powered by the 0.9-litre TwinAir 105hp turbo petrol engine (0-60MPH in 11.4 seconds / 114 MPH) and 1.3-litre JTDM-2 85hp turbo-diesel (0-60MPH in 12.9 seconds / 108 MPH) and is priced from £14,870 OTR and £15,415 OTR respectively.

The Alfa Romeo MiTo Junior was inspired by the stunning Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior from 1966 which combined the gorgeous looks of the Giugiaro-styled 105/115 Series coupe with a small-capacity version of the legendary all-alloy Alfa Romeo Twin-Cam engine.

Developed with Italian taxation in mind (which penalised larger engines), the Junior GT 1300 amassed 91,000 sales (accounting for 69 percent of all 105/115 Series built) and has become very collectable in its own right thanks to its purity and character, as well as the larger number of enthusiasts whose earliest Alfa Romeo memories are of that very car.

This year is the centenary of when A.L.F.A. (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili) came under the direction of entrepreneur Nicola Romeo who, following the end of World War 1, eventually changed the name of the company to Alfa Romeo and ushered in an era of extraordinary technological advances and competition successes for the brand which remain an integral part of its identity to this day.

Renault offers a new sporty look to the Clio, with the GT line look Pack.

  • GT Line Look Pack now available for £400
  • New wheels, exhaust, bumpers and trim details
  • GT Line Look pack available on Dynamique MediaNav and Dynamique S MediaNav
  • £250 parking camera option added to Clio GT Line
  • Interior trim changes applied to all Clio models
Dynamique by name, dynamic-looking by nature – that’s the Renault Clio when fitted with the optional new GT Line Look Pack, which is now available on Dynamique MediaNav and Dynamique S MediaNav versions for a cost of £400.

The GT Line Look Pack adds an even sportier edge through GT Anthracite alloy wheels (16-inch on Dynamique MediaNav and 17-inch on Dynamique S MediaNav), GT front and rear bumpers topped with LED daytime running lights and a single chromed exhaust tailpipe.

There are also Anthracite door mirror casings and protective inserts on the doors, Renaultsport sill kick plates and GT Line badging included in the pack, which is available with the Glacier White, Diamond Black, Flame Red and Mercury paint choices.

The GT Line Look Pack is available on Dynamique MediaNav and Dynamique S MediaNav with the 90 hp 0.9-litre TCe and 90 hp 1.5 dCi engines.

Some interior trim details have also been changed on Dynamique MediaNav and Dynamique S MediaNav models, with or without the GT Line look pack. The interior lighting is now a more modern white rather than amber, grey replaces gloss black for the door armrests and handles, and MediaNav or R-Link inserts and air conditioning controls now have a matt chrome rather than a shiny chrome finish.

On Dynamique S MediaNav, GT Line and Renaultsport models the air vent surrounds are also in matt chrome, which has been applied to the air vent handle and gear knob of all Clios. The gear gaiter surround is now grey on Expression and Expression+ versions and gloss black on Dynamique MediaNav and Dynamique S MediaNav models, matt chrome dashboard rings become standard across the range and there is a matt chrome handbrake button and interior door handles, plus the steering wheel on models with a leather wheel rim.

A rear parking camera also becomes available on the GT Line model for £250.
All changes are applicable to cars in production now.

Renault’s new Twingo city car now has a new top-of-the-range model, the Dynamique S TCe 90.v

  • Sporty new flagship for Renault’s hot-selling new city car
  • Previously optional Sport Pack added as standard
  • Exterior styling and interior trim embellishments
  • Powered by 90 hp TCe 90 0.9-litre turbo engine
  • £12,545 on the road including 4+ warranty and assistance package
Renault’s award-winning new Twingo city car range has been further bolstered by the addition of a new top-of-the-range model, the Dynamique S TCe 90.

It features the previously optional ‘Sport Pack’ of exterior styling and interior trim embellishments as standard, and is powered by the 90 hp 0.9-litre TCe  turbocharged petrol engine fitted to the former top model, the Dynamique TCe 90.

Standard features unique to the Dynamique S include an aluminium pedal set, red/black part leather upholstery and a red interior touch pack. The exterior lines are set off by 16-inch sport diamond-cut alloy wheels, matt black side decals and an exterior touch pack in red, with white as a no-cost option.

The red interior touch pack adds stylish finishing touches to the steering wheel, centre console and air vents, while the exterior touch pack does the same for the front grille insert, door mirrors and side door protectors.

The Dynamique S also comes with LED daytime running lights, front foglamps, electric heated door mirrors, cruise control, a lane departure warning system, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearshift knob, air conditioning and white instrument backlighting. As with every new Twingo, it has electric power steering, electric front windows, a trip computer and gearchange indicator, a lane-change function for the indicators and automatic activation of the rear screen wiper when reverse gear is selected.

Practicality is ensured by the unique-in-segment folding front passenger seat and a split-folding two-seat rear bench. The safety equipment includes Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Emergency Brake Assist and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

The 0.9-litre TCe turbocharged engine endows the Dynamique S with the performance to match its sporty looks. It develops 90 hp at 5,500 rpm and 135 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm – sufficient for 0-62 mph acceleration in 10.8 seconds and a top speed of 103 mph. Yet with engine Stop & Start as standard it is also extremely efficient, recording an official 65.7 mpg – and more than 50 mpg in urban city use – with CO2emissions of just 99 g/km to put it in VED Band A for free Road Fund Licence.

Fuel economy can be improved by up to 10 per cent by making full use of the gearshift indicator, the Renault Driving eco2 feature incorporated within the R & GO®or R-Link connectivity systems and the in-built ECO switch, which alters the throttle mapping and air conditioning power.

Variable Gear Ratio steering is also standard, giving a firmer feel to the leather-rimmed wheel in the straight-ahead position while ensuring a higher steering ratio as the car starts to turn. The result is effortless manoeuvrability in congested cities with great precision when changing direction on open roads.

The Twingo Dynamique S is available in Crystal White, Diamond Black or Flame Red paint colours and is available to order now, with first deliveries expected in April 2015.

It costs £12,545 on the road and comes with the peace of mind of Renault’s 4+ warranty and assistance package. This protects against defects recognised by Renault for four years or 100,000 miles (first two years unlimited). In the event of a breakdown, Renault provides emergency roadside repairs or towing to the nearest dealer 24/7 every day of the year, plus three years’ European cover. There is also a three-year paint warranty and 12 years’ cover against corrosion.

All-inclusive servicing packages are also available for up to four years.
